Five reasons you have to watch ONE Fight Night 3

What a night of action ONE Fight Night 3 has in store. The card is full of outstanding matchups, and an incredible three title fights. Across the night the ONE bantamweight world championship, lightweight Muay Thai world championship, and lightweight submission grappling world championship will all be on the line – again showing the diversity of top-level combat sports ONE has to offer.

2. Lineker and Andrade settle things in the cage

There has been plenty of trash talk in the lead up to this one – but now it is time to settle things in the cage. New ONE bantamweight world champion John Lineker puts his title on the line against exciting striker Fabricio Andrade. This one has the makings of an instant classic with both men ready to trade strikes – and confident in their ability to finish things.

3. The crowning of two new champions

Two new titles will be on the line in Kuala Lumpur. First up, on the lead card will be the inaugural ONE lightweight submission grappling world championship battle between Kade Ruotolo and Uali Kurzhev. America’s Ruotolo is something of a prodigy when it comes to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and is the youngest ADCC World Champion in history. He will face Russian Kurzhev who himself has an impressive background in sambo fighting and judo.

Also up for grabs will be the first ever ONE lightweight Muay Thai world championship – and what a fight this promises to be. Current ONE lightweight kickboxing king Regian Eersel will look to add another piece of gold to his collections when he takes on rising star Sinsamut Klinmee. Eersel has been in utterly dominant form of late, but the young Thai fighter Klinmee has been finishing opponents in spectacular style and will be confident ahead of his first title fight.

4. A rising star in the women’s division

Noelle Grandjean might not be a familiar name to many fans right now – but that won’t take too long to change. Fighting out of France to a Dutch father and Thai mother, the 26-year-old says this is what she was born to do. Her father was a combat sports trailblazer across Muay Thai, judo, and early MMA – so we know her education is extensive. 3-0 as a professional in MMA, with two of those wins coming by stoppage, this will be her ONE debut in the atomweight division.

5. Middle Eastern interest

There is plenty of interest on the card for fight fans from the Middle East and North Africa. Algeria’s Mehdi Zatout will be in action when he takes on Asa Ten Pow in the bantamweight Muay Thai division. Zatout has fought for the bantamweight kickboxing title in ONE, and is also a Muay Thai world champion with the WBC, and will be looking to enhance his credentials against a versatile Ten Pow.

Iranian/Malaysian Amir Naseri will be making his second appearance in ONE when he takes on Japan’s Taiki Naito. Naseri slipped to a decision loss in his debut so will be keen to get in the win column this time out.

ONE Fight Night 3: Lineker vs. Andrade takes place Saturday October 22 3AM KSA time at the Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur. This is a night not to be missed so mark your calendars, download the ONE Super App, and go to watch.onefc.com now!
