Following a rollercoaster year in Web3, some projects, like NFT Inspect, will unfortunately close their doors forever. Due to industry instability, the NFT analytics company has announced it will wind down operations later this month.
NFT Inspect became a popular research tool during last year’s bull run for assessing and tracking NFT collections and communities. Consequently, branding itself as “The social intelligence layer of Web3” by allowing users to:
- Assess NFT profile reach by tracking views.
- Find the most popular NFT communities based on collection ranking.
Why Is NFT Inspect Shutting Down?
The company made the announcement on Twitter on January 3rd:
1/ We have some sad news.
While we’ve loved building alongside you all, we regret to share that Inspect will be shutting down on Tues, Jan. 17
— Inspect (@nftinspect) January 3, 2023
“After months of working & reworking, we’ve come to the difficult conclusion that we cannot maintain Inspect going forward.” NFT Inspect went on to mention the turbulence of 2022 in the Web3 space. Last year, 2022, certainly had many highs and lows for NFT projects and brands.
The NFT community is understandably mourning the loss of NFT Inspect, which was a highly useful and user-friendly research tool. Despite its absence, we can still appreciate the value it provided while it remains available.
